Dear Mr. Heston:
Many thanks for your thoughtful and interesting letter. I certainly agree with you that very little is spent on research on the behavior of man with the aim of preventing World War III.
Actually, one of the great frustrations that all of us who are interested in psychiatry face is that so little is spent on research in this area and so little is understood by the average person about his own and other people's behavior.
