It was wonderfully kind of you to write me and send me the pictures, which certainly gave Henrietta and me much inspiration
and hope.
I am indeed sorry that you had so much trouble with the hearings in Washington and do hope that you will get the appropriations
for which you fought and worked so hard during the years.
Please let me take this opportunity to thank you for the great help and support which you gave me, and which contributed
so much to any accomplishment that I may have attained.
I am delighted to tell you that Henrietta and I are well and we often think of you and all your wonderful friendship. We do
hope you will have the happiest possible trip in Europe, and we look forward with the greatest of pleasure to seeing you upon
your return to New York.
You have been a wonderful friend and we are ever grateful to you. We send you our heartfelt thanks.
