I saw you in the Gallery today. You looked very happy, and rightly so.
The passage of the "Conquest of Cancer Agency" as an independent agency within the National Institutes of Health is
a great accomplishment and due primarily to your leadership, your tireless effort, and your inspiration.
I feel it's a good bill, and we should be very pleased with the accomplishment thusfar. Our next test will be in the
House. I know Congressman Rogers, who will be handling this legislation, and I shall do all that I can to influence him in
support of the Senate bill.
Thanks for all that you do for all of us. You are a wonderful and dear lady. What a privilege it is to be your friend.
