Acute and Short-Term Effects of a New Calcium Antagonist in Hypertension
Freis and his team continued to run clinical trials late in to his career, assessing the newer hypertension drugs as they
were developed. In this article, they reported that an early trial on nitrendipine, a calcium channel blocker, indicated that
it was an effective antihypertensive agent with minor side-effects.
