This photograph shows Heidelberger with his second wife, Charlotte Rosen Heidelberger, in 1956, the year of their marriage. His first wife, Nina Tachau Heidelberger, had died of cancer in 1946. Heidelberger, who grew to the age of 103, outlived his second wife as well.
