Description:
Sawyer received his MD from Harvard Medical School in 1906, and did his medical residency at Massachusetts General Hospital from 1906 to 1908. While there he took a series of photographs of the hospital and grounds, staff nurses, and fellow medical residents. The caption on the back of the photograph reads, (from top to bottom): "Five Seniors: Brown, Chapin, Sawyer, Hollinger, Woodbury."
