Description:
Szent-Gyorgyi frequently criticized the nuclear arms race and the Vietnam war during the 1960s and 1970s. Szent-Gyorgyi and Bersohn were attending a protest against Vice President Hubert Humphrey's visit to Woods Hole. Bersohn (d. 2003) was a renowned physical chemist at Columbia University who researched photochemistry and free radicals.
