Effects of Anesthesia on Functional Activation of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism
This study demonstrated that anesthesia markedly diminishes the increases in local glucose utilization and blood flow associated
with functional activation of a pathway in the regions of the secondary and tertiary synapse of the pathway but not at all
in the regions with the primary synapses.
