In this review of the rocker-dilution and rocker-perfusion cultivation methods of malarial parasites, Anfinsen, et al, provided a systemic analysis of the biochemistry of the malarial parasite and the host environment. They described the experimental procedures utilized for the production of sufficient parasites for study, the methods used for counting and evaluating the parasites, the technique and apparatus for in vitro cultivation, and results of these experiments.
